Provinum celebrates 10 years

The Best Big Wine Tasting Ever (30-03-2024 by Nenad Jelisic)

Wow! What a fabulous wine tasting! The best big (big = wine tasting where wines from many wineries can be tasted) wine tasting ever. NJ Wines has participated in big wine tastings where 10% of the tasted wines got 3,5 NJP of 5,0 NJP (85 points of 100 points). Like for example the wine tastings organized by the world's best wine magazine Decanter in London. NJ Wines has also participated in wine tastings at some exceptional wineries where 100% of the tasted wines got 3,5 NJP or more. As at Enjingi's winery in the Venje appellation in Croatia and Edi Simcic's winery in the Goriška Brda appellation in Slovenia. But NJ Wines has never before participated in any big wine tasting in Sweden and in the rest of the world where over 21% of wines got 3,5 NJP or more. And this happened during Provinum's 10 years anniversary in Stockholm on March 2, 2024. This says a lot about this brilliant wine tasting and Provinum's brilliant wine portfolio. Bravo Provinum!

Then one absolutely must not forget the twelve 5,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP canapés. To name a few of them: veal and tuna tartar with caviar, grilled entrecote with pepper butter, truffle soup, roasted sponge cake with vanilla, raspberry and white chocolate, etc.

115 wines were tasted and rated by NJ Wines. NJ Wines had marked many other wines in the wine tasting’s catalogue that NJ Wines would like to taste, but it did not go according to NJ Wines' plans because there were quite a lot of wine tasting’s participants who absolutely want to talk to NJ Wines about the wine tasting’s wines. NJ Wines does not understand why, but so it was. This did that NJ Wines did not make it to taste about 80 of the other marked wines. The best wine country at the tasting was Italy with its four wines among the best of the best wines. Then on the evenly shared second place came France and Portugal with their three wines each among the best of the best wines. Three wineries and their wines stood out from the crowd among the other participating wineries and their wines. First of all, Churchill's winery with its exceptional, and since a few years back for NJ Wines' world's best, port wines from the Porto appellation, then Sandrone winery with the best wine of the wine tasting and two other really good wines (all three wines come from the Barolo appellation). Then, last and not least Charles Heidsiecks winery with his two consistently wonderful champagnes Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve and Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires.

To the best of the best belongs the following wines:
