Arlanda's best restaurant before the security control - Sky Horizon at Sky City, Terminal 5, Sweden, 4,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP, (10-10-2025 by Nenad Jelisic)
Sky Horizon is a modern restaurant at Sky City at Terminal 5. I have visited the restaurant twelve times so far. Of these twelve times, I visited the restaurant six times during July and August 2025, and each time I felt very welcome by the service-oriented and very nice staff. Of all the restaurants that exists at Terminal 2 and Terminal 5, this restaurant is the best in every way. Note that there is no restaurant in Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 before the security control. While at Sky City at Terminal 5 there are seven restaurants. At the Sky Horizon there is a possibility to choose from various starters, main courses and desserts. The dishes for all tastes. In addition, there is a fairly large selection of white and red wines by the glass and bottle as well as about forty spirits and a few beers by bottle and tap.

As an aperitif during my visits in July and August 2025, I always used to drink Martin Codax Albariño 2024 or Even & Odd Riesling 2024. Both wines are fresh, fruity and dry, and went really well as an aperitif and with the restaurant's fabulous fish stew. The first wine got 3,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP (80 points of 100 points) and the second wine got 4,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP (90 points of 100 points) (NJP = Nenad Jelisic Points). This resulted in an average rating for the wines of 3,5 NJP of 5,0 NJP (85 points of 100 points). Both wines are available by the glass. The restaurant's food got between 3,5 NJP and 5,0 NJP. Here I must point out that the vast majority of dishes got 5,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP and, therefore, the average rating for the dishes ended up at 4,5 NJP of 5,0 NJP. The following starters, main courses and desserts, which I highly recommend that you try, got 5,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP:
Toast Skagen with whitefish roe (starter)
Fish stew topped with scallop, with aioli and grilled garlic bread (main course)
Swedish meatballs with cream sauce, mashed potatoes, Swedish pressed cucumber salad and raw stirred lingonberries (main course)
White chocolate panna cotta with lime-sugared raspberries (dessert)
Crème Brûlée (dessert)

Toast Skagen with whitefish roe (starter)

White chocolate panna cotta with lime-sugared raspberries (dessert)
I enjoyed the most of the fabulous fish stew topped with scallop, with aioli and grilled garlic bread. I have eaten many fish stews in my life, but this was one of the absolute best, if not the best, that I have eaten so far. If I had to choose one dessert from the above two, I would choose the white chocolate panna cotta with lime-sugared raspberries, which was a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds.
The service-oriented and very nice staff got 5,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP. The modern interior got 5,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP. While the extremely worn-out, very poorly lit and dirty toilets got 0,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP. Here I must point out that it is not the restaurant's fault that the toilets are extremely worn-out and very poorly lit. The fault lies with the property owner Swedavia (state-owned company), which should rebuild the toilets as quickly as possible. However, the fact that the toilets was dirty is the restaurant's fault.
When everything, which has been written above, is taken into account, the restaurant gets 4,0 NJP of 5,0 NJP. When the extremely run-down, very poorly lit and dirty toilets are not taken into account, the restaurant gets 4,5 NJP of 5,0 NJP.
