If for some wine behind “the best vintages” stands “none”, it means that none of the wine's vintages got 4,5 NJP or 5,0 NJP.

 

 

Qualitätswein bestimmter Anbaugebiete (QbA), the second highest German wine class. All grapes must come from one wine district (Bereich). The wine must contain certain determined grape varieties, must hold a certain must weight (Öchlese; an Öchlese degree corresponds 2 to 2,5 grams of sugar per litre of wine) and may be chaptalized. The must weight in this wine class can go down to 50 degrees i.e. 100 to 125 grams of sugar per litre of wine, see Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP). (2025-10)

Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP), the highest German wine class. All grapes must come from one wine district (Bereich). The wine must contain certain determined grape varieties, must hold a certain must weight (Öchlese; an Öchlese degree corresponds 2 to 2,5 grams of sugar per litre of wine) and must not be chaptalized. Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP) wines are divided into 6 different quality classes depending on must weight: Kabinett (must weight about 75 degrees i.e. 150 to 187 grams of sugar per litre of wine), Spätlese (must weight about 85 degrees i.e., 170 to 212 grams of sugar per litre of wine), Auslese (must weight about 90 degrees, i.e. 180 to 225 grams of sugar per litre of wine), Beerenauslese (must weight about 120 degrees i.e. 240 to 300 grams of sugar per litre wine), Trockenbeerenauslese (must weight about 150 degrees, i.e. 300 to 375 grams of sugar per litre of wine) and Eiswein (must weight about 120 degrees i.e. 240 to 300 grams of sugar per litre of wine, the grapes must be picked and pressed in frozen state at least minus 8 degrees). Quatrième Cru, the fourth, penultimate, French wine class of 1855 Classification. To Quatrième Cru belongs the following 10 wines/châteaux: Château Beychevelle, Château Branaire-Ducru, Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Château La Tour Carnet, Château Lafon-Rochet, Château Pouget, Château Prieuré-Lichine, Château Marquis de Terme, Château Saint-Pierre and Château Talbot.
